"Trentino as a Lab: Innovation as the way of being, thinking and evolving"
Meeting with Fabio Colasanti European Commission Director General for "Information Society and Media"
Informatica Trentina organized a meeting at the seat of Autonomous Province of Trento located in Piazza Dante on Sunday 16th March 2008; Fabio Colasanti, European Commission Director General for “Information Society and Media”, joined the meeting “ Trentino as a Lab: Innovation as the way of being, thinking and evolving”.
As everybody knows there are lots of international prestigious research centres in Trentino. For this reason in the last few years Autonomous Province of Trento has developed a territorial strategy, “Trentino as a Lab”, with the aim to involve all its members, in particular Public System, ICT Companies System and research centres, in order to promote and encourage the socio-economical base with the saying “innovation is the way of being, thinking and evolving”.
Informatica Trentina, as a “System Instrument”, will be the promoter for the innovation in ICT; public sector modernization, enabled (if possible) by technological innovation, is an innovation opportunity for the services provided to citizens and companies.
In connection with this role Informatica Trentina promoted and encouraged, on request of Autonomous Province of Trento, the acknowledgement and admission of “Trentino System” inside the “Living Labs” European network.
Main subjects of the meeting, on the occasion of doctor Fabio Colasanti’s visit to Trentino, were the specificness of the Trentino System and of the “Trentino as a Lab” model, stimulation and remarks about statements on European level with reference to 7th Programma Quadro
